Yes, please, I would like a tiny koala to ride around on my ankle (maybe with some leather spats to keep the claws out of my leg)!

Wonder Woman: Skateboard Whiz (1978)

Pay attention, kids: even WONDER WOMAN wears a fucking helmet. Because she’s smart.

Not only a helmet, she’s definitely rocking some sweet knee and elbow pads. Even Wonder Woman understands the need to be safe! She’d be wearing wrist guards, but since her bracelets are indestructible, she’s pretty much covered there.

Home safe from meeting a stranger at 1am. It was good, he was nice, but tired, I think we’ll see each other again? The only thing that sucks about living in New York is that right now I just want to wander around, I’m not tired (which I absolutely should be), but I really just want to listen to the American Idiot Broadway soundtrack and walk through Brooklyn, but while I’m in the safest part of my neighborhood and I rarely ever feel like I might maybe be unsafe, it’s probably not the best idea to wander at 4am with headphones on. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll still feel like wandering and actually leave my apartment early. Maybe I’ll go to central park and get lost.

I’m going on a date (I think it’s a date?) with someone from OkCupid tonight, but we’re both broke, so I’m going to meet him after work and we’re going to get cheap beer and ride around on the Staten Island ferry (which is free!). This date won’t start until about 12:30am because that’s when he’s done with work, so I’m not sure if it’s a date or if he thinks it might be some sort of hey, let’s meet each other booty call situation… I’ll let y’all know tomorrow!

The Next Time You Cut Your Finger, Save a Life
Ten thousand people need bone marrow transplants each year to fight life-threatening diseases, but only half of them get one. Graham Douglas, who works at ad agency Droga5, came up with a unique solution to get more donors: Stick a sign-up kit inside a Band-Aid box. When people cut their finger and goes hunting for a Band-Aid, they can just dab some of the blood on a Q-tip-like swab, drop it in an envelope already included in the kit, and put it in the mail to the lab.

This is really neat, even though the thought of bloody q-tips going through the mail kind of skeeves me out. :)
